Cost of Living at the University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool is very accessible in terms of the cost of living, being among the most affordable campuses in the UK. It is estimated that a student's day-to-day living expenses in the City will cost them in the region of £1500 a year, broken down as follows:

Accommodation - £73 to £108 a week all-inclusive Food - £50 a week Laundry - £7.50 a week Academic consumables - £5 a week Clothes - £10 a week Transport - £20 a week Memberships - £8 a week Phone bills - £5 a week Entertainment - £25 a week

It is important to note that these costs are influenced by personal preferences and budgetary constraints, and while some students will exceed these guide costs, others will spend far less on discretionary items.

The cost of accommodation tends to be influenced by the size of the space and its proximity to the City Centre, with flats on the outskirts of the city attracting a lower rent than those situated directly in the bustling centre.

Students are entitled to discounts in a wide range of local and national businesses and are urged to make the most of these discounts to constrain their spending while still enjoying their University experience.
